ISM professors Ivo Pezzuto and Tamas Landesz represented ISM at the Microeconomics of Competitiveness (MOC) Faculty Workshop at the Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness of Harvard Business School from December 11-12, 2018. The workshop, led by Professor Michael Porter, offers a unique opportunity for all MOC faculty to gain exposure to the latest learning and research related to competitiveness and cluster development.

Professor Landesz will be teaching two MOC courses at ISM this year: Microeconomics of Competitiveness: Firms, Industries, Clusters, and Cross-border Competition from February 21-23, 2019 and Microeconomics of Competitiveness: The Process of Economic Development from June 20-22, 2019.

Based on the course of the same title designed by Professor Michael Porter, taught at Harvard Business School, Microeconomics of Competitiveness explores the determinants of national and regional competitiveness from a bottom-up, microeconomic perspective.  In addition to earning credits towards the completion of their degrees, students who successfully complete the course will earn a valuable MOC alumni network affiliation linked to Michael Porter and the Harvard Business School.
