ISM DBA Candidate Ernest Wooden Jr., CEO of Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti have started a new initiative to bring tourism to Los Angeles, called "Everyone is Welcome". This initiative is reinforcing the diversity and cultural hub that Los Angeles is known for.
This initiative has brought high amounts of tourism to the city, welcoming 48.3 million visitors to Los Angeles in 2017. This is over 1 million more visitors than in 2016! This increase in tourism is incredible given that Los Angeles will be home to the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic games. Wooden Jr. hopes by expanding the mission and feeling of hospitality to Los Angeles will help fuel their goal of reaching up to 50 million tourists in Los Angeles by 2020.
